The animal world is full of extraordinary creatures that amaze us with their shapes, colours, and behaviours. One of these fascinating creatures is the Atelopus zeteki or golden Panama frog. This tiny amphibian is known for its bright yellow colour with green spots on its back. It inhabits the areas of Central America, extending north to Costa Rica and south to Bolivia.
Aatelopus zeteki usually reaches a size of only a few centimetres. However, its small size does not prevent it from emanating a bright golden colour that serves as a warning to other animals. In addition, to scare off competition or attract the attention of a potential mate, it wiggles its front webbed feet.
This unusual amphibian became the inspiration for the creation of an unusual signet. The golden frog is decorated with emeralds, completing its unique colour scheme. It sits on the water's surface, which is made of Australian opal. The composition closes with a custom-cut sphere of white sapphire, symbolising the moonlight in which the frog conducts its activity. The sides of the ring are set with emeralds. The entire piece is made in yellow gold.
