Celtic wedding rings

Autor: Piotr Zieliński

Celtic designs have fascinated people for centuries with their unusual aesthetics and symbolic depth. They have a long history, dating back to the early Celtic cultures which existed in what is now known as Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. They are beautiful and full of meaning, reflecting the love, unity, and permanence of marriage.

The designs depict intricate, intertwining, geometrically complementary knots. In Celtic culture, the knot was a symbol of eternity, with no beginning or end, which perfectly fits the idea of marriage as a permanent union between two people. Spirals were interpreted as a sign of constant transformation and development, reflecting the desire to grow and build the marital relationship over time.

Celtic designs are known for their precision, elegance, and symmetry. Their delicacy and finesse add a unique charm and never cease to delight. The complexity and proportions can uniquely reflect the character of the lovers.

The rings below are decorated with a deeply engraved Celtic knot braided around the perimeter. The top of the rings is hammered and contrasts with the smooth sides. The same knot of the rings is designed in two ways. In the man's ring, the knot is convex and adorns the outer side. In the woman's ring, it is hidden in the inner circumference and indented. The negative space is filled with black enamel. The whole piece was made in solid white gold.
