Floral wedding ring with tsavorites, sapphires and diamonds

Autor: Piotr Zieliński

Designing unique wedding rings takes a lot of time and effort- from both the client and the designer. After all, this is jewellery for life. Combining my emotions and careful considerations before laying these out on paper is an extraordinary experience for me. The completed design contains a unique story, behind which there is a personal dialogue between myself and the customer. It results, not only in unique realisations, but also in precious new friendships.

Ms. Magda does her work under a microscope. She creates unique works of art from tiny molecules. In doing so, she uses magnificent fluorescent reagents in various colours, enabling her to visualise the beauty of nature. Hundreds of hours spent at the microscope and developing micrographs, as well as the rigour of the work, have further sensitised Ms. Magda's eye for detail.

It started with a quick sketch during a meeting. We agreed that the ring should contain three types of stones - diamonds, sapphires, and tsavorites. I then prepared the design in its final form. The ring is a braided shape of a leafy stem set with exotic tsavorite, from which falls a dewdrop. Each sapphire set in the drops was custom-cut in Hong Kong. The negative space is complemented by small diamonds. The entire piece has been crafted, with the utmost attention to detail, in 950 platinum.
