Travel has fascinated people for centuries and is synonymous with discovery, transformation, development, and shared adventures. Stemming from man's natural curiosity to explore the unknown, travel is a form of escape from everyday responsibilities and problems into a world of relaxation and new experiences. It enhances such qualities as patience, openness, and resilience. Every journey, whether it is a holiday or a business trip, brings with it unique experiences and memories.
In order to design wedding rings with the theme of travel in mind, inspiration can be taken from the places the couple have visited together, starting from their very first meeting. These rings symbolise the journey of life together, full of challenges but also joy and memories, serving as a reminder of the importance of shared experiences, mutual support, and the quest for a desired goal. In marriage, as in a journey, looking forward with hope and enjoying every moment is essential. These experiences will be remembered and shared by the couple for years to come.
How is it possible to design jewellery which embodies these rich ideas? I designed wedding rings where the central theme is a wheel, since travelling by car or motorbike allows one to view the scenery and enjoy the journey. The tread pattern in the man's ring alludes to travel and a passion for motoring. In the woman's ring, the tread is concave, forming small nests, each set with a diamond. The set was crafted in yellow gold.
