Art Deco ring

Autor: Piotr Zieliński

In the 1920s, as the United States and Europe were recovering from the horrors of the Great War, a new awareness of the transience of life was emerging. It was an age of decadence and excess. In this spirit, artists began to simplify composition to its most basic forms and create a new style that could be pleasing to the eye while not overwhelming the intellect.

The Art Deco period was a time of glamour, characterised by exciting trends based on architecture, presenting bold geometric patterns. Straight lines, squares, triangles, pyramids, and arches were combined to create fascinating, mathematical designs.

This style became the inspiration for a unique ring. The perfect stones create a mosaic of shapes and geometric forms with great discipline. Openwork between the individual elements adds lightness to the composition. The whole piece was made in 14k white gold.
