What is the difference between IF (Internally Flawless) and FL (Flawless) diamonds? FL is an overall assessment relating not only to clarity, but also to other parameters- especially the quality of the cut. According to a study, only one in five thousand diamonds is FL rated.
When I was looking for a 1 ct. stone for this unique ring, there were only two gems with this grade (certified by the renowned GIA institute), available for sale in the entire world.
At the client's request, I chose the better stone. It was set in a well-lit crown and completed with baroque ribbons, decorated with small diamonds. The whole is made of 18k white gold.
