Ring "Heart of the Baltic"

Autor: Piotr Zieliński

The Baltic Sea is one of the largest coastal seas in the world.  The low level of salinity of the Baltic Sea water makes it a unique, biologically diverse ecosystem. Its beautiful coastlines attract tourists from all over the world. In addition, the Baltic Sea is an essential part of cultural heritage.

In the Middle Ages, the Baltic Sea played an important role in the salt, wood, and amber trade. Over the centuries, it has been the arena of many conflicts and wars, including the Swedish-Danish and Northern wars. The area also witnessed the First and Second World Wars.

For many, however, the Baltic Sea is ideal for relaxing and spending time with family and friends. Memories of carefree sunny days, white beaches, and unique sunsets have made the Baltic Sea a symbol of summer holidays.

The idyllic scenery of the "Polish sea" also served as inspiration for this unique ring. A perfect sapphire in the colour of cold sea water was set in the centre. It is washed by foaming waves set with diamonds. The whole piece was made in 14k white gold.
