Amethyne ring

Autor: Piotr Zieliński

Legend has it that a Spanish conquistador discovered the location of the Anahi mine in eastern Bolivia in the 17th century. He then presented a gem from the mine to the whole of Europe, including the Queen. He received the mine as a dowry when he married an Indian princess named Anahi. Over time, the location of the mine became unknown, and for three centuries, no one had access to it. The situation changed in the 1960s, and ametrine, a mineral from the mine, began to appear on the market again.

Men's jewelry with citrine

Ametrine is a gemstone containing both amethyst and citrine, displaying purple and gold colours in one magnificent bicoloured quartz crystal. Its name comes from purple amethyst (ame-) and gold citrine (-trine). The boundary between the two colours is usually gradual and fluid.

The ring below is a composition of the play of amethyst colours and the geometry contained in the cut of the stone. The central gem comes from Bolivia, where the most beautiful crystals are mined. The sides of the ring are decorated with two custom-cut triangular quartzes in both colours of the central ametrine. The entire piece has been crafted in solid white gold.
