Gold has always been admired, both nowadays and in ancient cultures; it has not changed over the centuries, still shining with the same glow. Inspired by Inca art, I designed a 22K gold bracelet. In the centre is a yellow diamond embedded in lapis lazuli.
Lapis lazuli has been used as a decorative material since the prehistoric period; it was appreciated in ancient Sumer, Akkad, Babylonia and Assyria. It was also used in Egypt during the time of the pharaohs (Tutankhamun's tomb).
The sides of the bracelet are also finished with this stone. The lower part is made of blackened silver, which in similar to the texture of leather, but is much more resistant to weather conditions and not susceptible to deformation.
