The birth of a child is a special moment. Parents are overwhelmed with great joy but also with a sense of responsibility. A child is like a delicate plant that requires care and effort to enable it to grow and flourish. Many acknowledge that having children is one of the greatest joys in life.
For such a momentous occasion, a client asked me to design a necklace for his wife. It takes the form of a locket or an openable box. At first, it is not apparent that the locket opens, but inside there is an engraved message intended only for the recipient.
A top-quality heart-shaped sapphire has been set on the outer part. Underneath are engraved flowers that are a symbol of motherhood. In the center there is a decorative initial designed by Grzegorz Klimczewski, one of the best Polish typographers. The composition is completed with garlands of diamonds resembling a curtain. The whole piece was made in 14k white gold.
