This plant inhabits the tropical forests of Guatemala and Costa Rica, lazily dangling on the rainforest floor or hanging on to larger plants, using them as a natural support. Thus, this species is an epiphyte, much like orchids. It attracts insects with its charming, colourful inflorescences. Whatever the season, it always has green leaves and never fails to impress by the extraordinary beauty of its flowers, which look very exotic. These plants are characterised by a boat-shaped inflorescence with a distinctive floret.
Called 'flamingo flowers', the anthurium has more than 1,000 varieties. The most common type is the andreanum, characterised by heart-shaped leaves and showy flowers of different colours. These can be red, pink, or white, although shades of green, yellow, maroon, purple, and even bicoloured and spotted flowers can also be found.
This unique flower was the inspiration for an unusual engagement ring. Just as the anthurium requires support to grow properly, the man giving the ring becomes the support of his wife, who blossoms like a beautiful flower thanks to her husband's tenderness.
A unique orange diamond is set in the centre. Its full setting levitates, hidden in an anthurium flower. The stylised ring, a stem with leaves, is decorated with small diamonds. The whole piece has been crafted in yellow gold.
