Spring is the time of year when flora and fauna come back to life. At this time of the year, we can observe a true explosion of green. Interestingly, the human eye perceives the spectrum of this colour most broadly. This is because it is most sensitive to this range of electromagnetic radiation, the wavelength of which is 540nm - 600nm.

To the human eye, green is more than just a colour: it is synonymous with life-giving nature and nature. The colour symbolizes hope, harmony, freedom, and happiness. We rest best when surrounded by green and hear the rustle of leaves or grasses. The colour is also a symbol of environmental protection, health, and sport.

What green stone to choose for an engagement ring

With the coming spring in mind, I have designed a floral set in the form of a ring and an engagement ring. The stone in the centre is an exotic tsavorite. This gem has a much higher brilliance than emerald, giving it a beautiful, vibrant green colour. A composition of marquise and drop-cut diamonds complements it. The entire piece has been crafted in 14k yellow gold.
